Frequently Asked Questions
30-minute lessons are ideal for younger students, beginners, or singers looking to build consistent weekly progress.
60-minute lessons are recommended for serious singers, teens, adults, and students preparing for auditions, competitions, or college. The additional time allows us to develop healthy technique, apply it to repertoire, strengthen musicianship, and work on performance skills—all within a single lesson.
Every lesson is individualized to your goals and experience level. We may work on healthy vocal technique, repertoire, musicianship, sight-singing, ear training, acting through song, audition preparation, performance coaching, or vocal health.
Rather than following a one-size-fits-all curriculum, each lesson is designed to help you make meaningful progress while building a healthy, sustainable voice.
Most students make the greatest progress with weekly lessons. Consistent instruction allows healthy habits to develop over time while providing regular feedback and accountability.
Students preparing for auditions, competitions, or performances may occasionally schedule additional coaching sessions as needed.
Quality matters far more than quantity. Rather than assigning long practice sessions, I teach students how to practice efficiently so their time is productive.
Even 15–20 minutes of focused practice several days a week can lead to excellent progress when paired with consistent lessons and clear goals.
Choosing a voice teacher is much like choosing any skilled professional. While lesson rates vary, experience and expertise can make a significant difference in both the quality and efficiency of your progress.
I've worked with many students who arrived discouraged after investing considerable time and money in lessons that weren't producing results. Often, they weren't lacking talent or dedication—they simply needed clearer instruction and a healthier technical foundation.
My goal is to help students make steady, measurable progress from the very beginning. Building the right foundation early can prevent years of frustration and the expense of correcting habits later.
